The professional school counselor believes that every child is entitled to a free and appropriate education.  The developmentally appropriate school guidance program works with each child to ensure student academic success and provide a foundation of skills to ensure the student's future success.  The following principles outline the school counseling department.
The school counselor believes...

All students are an essential piece to the school population.

All students have the ability to learn.

All students have skills that can be further developed with collaboration and guidance from parents, teachers, administrators and school counselor.

All students should experience a school counseling program that is well planned, executed and based on the Prince William County and Virginia Curriculum Standards.

The school counselor further believes....

All school counselors should be highly qualified and provide a caring and ethical approach to their daily practices.
